Oh what have I gotten myself into?
When I closed my eyes and took your hands,
And we twirl in a mad dance unknown to all.
Flushed, giddy, these eyes reopened.
Only to see our fingers part as you watch me fall.
Knowing the truth does hurt. Another round of tears on the table. Anyone care enough to join me in drowning my sorrows? Sigh. I should stop reaching for something which does not even exist.
