it was one of the few events in our life that we felt totally disheatened and depressing. My hands started to turn clammy as time draws nearer to 2pm. nerve-wrecking. all we wanted for the rehearsal was to do our very best and put in our heart & soul to it but to our dismay, most of us were "eliminated" by the higher authority. depressing.disheartening. heartbroken. only tears filled our eyes. no amount of words can describe the feeling that we went through. tongue-tied. brain-freeze. ))))'=
we were told of the bad news after 2 rounds of dry run today and apparently, we couldn't accept the truth. the fact that some of us were kick out from the emcee is really so sad. we sacrificed our time to stayback after school almost everyday came to nought. WHY THEM? although our emcee-ing were not up to standard doesn't mean that we will not learn from our mistakes. and can't we build our self-esteem or what they called, stage presence?! its not fair for them to be kick out. tho the rehearsal ended quite early,we stayed back for a while to discuss about the depressing matter. all sorts of scathing remarks were being cursed to that teacher! we went to meet mdm tan after that and we asked her for the reason. she then enumerate the number of mistakes we did.
yes,i have to agree with myself that the rehearsal for speech day today was just simply horrible but just like what i said, it can be polish.. but they are not even given another chance... and yes we have to delude ourselves by agreeing to the matter that there isn't any time left and thus recruiting another batch of emcees & sacking the lousy ones is the best way. )'= how sad?! ohwell,we cried..
it was sad for the four of us who have worked super hard together & we have made friendships during this time of practice to just be seperated & not working together as one of the speech day emcees.
