one year ago,i would spent my november holidays in school preparing for GALA NITE.i could still remember vividly the rehearsals. i would complain of having rehearsals everyday from morning till evening but after the performance,i had post production blues. at that time,i really wished that i had rehearsals.
so, last year on 26 Nov was the day where we performed for GALA NITE at Nanyang Polytechnic Auditorium. i could remember vividly what happened on that night. it was my day!(X and that was the day where my parents and friends realised that i could act and that acting was my passion. i was in the limelight.. ok,not only me but also for my other 3 drama MAMAs. =p
it was only a one night show though. CLUB GANGSA really overwhemled the audiences. our drama alumnis were shocked that our acting were awesome..i think they were awed by our performance..haha
CLUB GANGSA does not only showcase acting but also dancing, singing and music. the performing arts groups which comprises DRAMA, DANCE, BAND and CHOIR come together and put up a magnificent show for the public.
Why is it CLUB GANGSA? Because our school is located at GANGSA ROAD so that's where we got our name..
And what is our show about?
CLUB GANGSA was run by a very greedy and opportunistic managress,Mrs Fernando. There are 4 performers in the club mainly Eric{musician}, John{singer}, Lisa{dancer} and William Shakespeare{actor}.These 4 performers are very tired about their routine. Day in and Day out they will be doing the same thing over and over again.The managress just wouldn't want to listen to them. And these performers decided to leave CLUB GANGSA and enter a new club when they heard from Mrs Fernando that she's gonna sell CLUB GANGSA.. So did they stay or ruined CLUB GANGSA or did they revamp CLUB GANGSA into a new club. Obviously, the story ends with a happy ending.CLUB GANGSA was revamp..
And what was the moral of the story?? i've forgotten the moral but it has something to do with our school which celebrated its tenth year anniversary.
telling you the story again makes me wanna act. my post production blues sets in after 26 Nov... sigh..till today,if i have nothing to do,i would take some time alone and wonder and ponder about GALA NITE. the friends we made, the drama,ups and downs... everything we faced together. 4 different performing art groups seems like one.it was one of the best days in my life..
November is ending and December is coming.doesn't time flies quickly? 4 years in school seem so fast. during these 4 years,i would never ever forget the beautiful memories...all these memories will last me for a life time.and i will definately miss my friends from sec4 and 5 especially my drama mamas...sigh...i wonder how my sec5 life next year will be like without them...
hmmm,i think i shall leave these mushy comments later...maybe not now.heh
4 weeks left till my result...isn't that scary?i just hope for the best and i would really like to go to sec5..i've scored 7 points for my prelim..how will i fair this time??7 points wasn't great at all...well,only god knows!
so thats about it for tonight.i wanted to update yesterday since it was 26 nov but i watched Harry Potter & TGOB.it was great but i expected more thrills and suspense...Cedric died..omg..it was sad!and the ending was left hanging....sigh...
now i left you with the photos of Gala nite... we look different! haha.. the nerdy-cum-geeky AHMAD! lmao
This was the the day where we measured our owned costume for GALA NITE.its the last day of our exam and the first day of fasting month....
DON'T LAUGH!!! i thought i don't want to put this photo...but just to let you see how i look like on that day..many of my friends were shocked!its kinda scary...just don't have a nightmare after you've seen this...and its not for the faint-hearted!!hehe... ;p
this is what i called an EXTREME MAKEOVER. honestly,when i first look at the mirror,i almost fainted...seriously! and i don't look chubby for once...hehe. told you its kinda scary....
